About Me

Hi, I’m Jeffrey Wen. I am an electrical engineer, machine learning researcher, and aspiring entrepreneur.

I graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (EE). I am currently pursing my PhD in EE with a focus in machine learning as a graduate fellow in the Computational Biology and Cognitive Science Lab (CBCSL) at The Ohio State University.

Born and raised in small town Wyoming, I enjoy spending time outside biking, hiking, skiing, and climbing.

Research

Current Work

State-of-the-art generative adversarial networks (GANs) can generate extremely realistic images but require computational power beyond the accessibility of many researchers.

We are analyzing how we can utilize lower-complexity networks to generate realistic images by developing a novel sampling scheme in the GAN latent space. This allows the networks to remain the same while improving the realism of the generated images. This work may also provide further insight into how GANs may learn during the training process.

I will be adding future publications and links as they come
